• Open-Meteo - Weather and marine forecasts
• NOAA - Tidal and water condition data
• Google OAuth - Optional authentication method
• Stripe - Subscription payments (we never see or store your full card number)
• Anthropic (Claude) - AI insights on your catch log, only when you ask for them

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they use information.

AI Insights

When you ask for an AI summary, ask a question about your catch log, or request scoring suggestions, we send the catch-log data needed to answer to Anthropic, the company that provides the Claude AI model. This is your catch statistics (hours fished, fish caught and catch rates by condition), your gear statistics, and a list of your recent catches with the date, species, size, lure, technique, depth, the conditions at the time and the name you gave the spot. Questions you type are sent as well. When you ask when to go this week, we also send the next few days of hourly forecast conditions (weather, tide, current, light, moon and the app's score) for up to four of your spots, by the name you gave each spot, with your catch rates there. We do not send your email address, your account identifier, GPS coordinates or your notes. Nothing is sent unless you use one of these features. Anthropic processes this data to generate the response under its own terms and privacy policy; we store the generated summaries and suggestions with your account so they can be shown again, and they are deleted with your account.

Shared Trip Briefs

When you share a trip brief, we save a copy of that forecast window with the spot's name, the meeting time, place and note you typed, and the area's marine advisories, bar reports and fishing regulations, and anyone with the link can open it without an account. The spot's coordinates are included only if you tick the box to include the location. The page never shows your name, email address or account. A brief stops showing its forecast a day after its window ends, is deleted 30 days after that, and is deleted with your account.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information:

• Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms
• Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
• Database access is restricted and monitored
• Regular security updates and patches
